Daliya is the perfect everyday breakfast. You can make many different dishes out of it and it will be good for your heart health. Because Daliya has many health benefits. Firstly, it is high in fibre but low in calories, which makes it a perfect food for weight loss. Because it is so rich in fibre, it cleanses the intestines and prevents constipation. Dalia also has many benefits for your heart health. For example, due to its complex carbohydrates, the GI is lower, which regulates the blood sugar and keeps it on a lower level. Daliya is also an excellent post-workout snack, due to its rich source of protein and its many vitamins and minerals.
Rinse dalia and moong dal and let soak for 30 minutes. Heat oil in a pot and add cumin seeds, hing, ginger and bay leaf. Add onions, tomatoes, chilli, turmeric and salt. Add your favourite veggies, mix and then add the drained daliya and dal. Fry for 2 minutes and add water. Let it cook until done or in a pressure cooker until 2 whistles.
In a pot, add cashews and raisins. When they are soft, put them aside. In the same pot, heat washed, soaked and drained daliya. Fry cautiously, while constantly stirring. Add water and bring to a boil. Cook until the daliya absorbed all the water. Add milk and keep cooking until preferred consistency. Garnish with cashew and raisins and enjoy.
