This high fibre content cleanses the intestines and helps prevent constipation. For heart health, its complex carbohydrates ensure a lower Glycemic Index (GI), which regulates blood sugar levels. Additionally, it serves as a great post-workout snack due to its rich source of protein, vitamins, and minerals.

How to Use / Recipe Ideas

  • Dalia Khichdi (Savory):

    1. Rinse daliya and moong dal and soak for 30 minutes.

    2. Heat oil in a pot; add cumin seeds, hing, ginger, and a bay leaf.

    3. Add onions, tomatoes, chilli, turmeric, and salt. Add your favourite veggies and mix.

    4. Add the drained daliya and daal. Fry for 2 minutes, then add water.

    5. Cook until done or pressure cook for 2 whistles.

  • Sweet Daliya (Porridge):

    1. In a pot, roast cashews and raisins until soft, then set aside.

    2. In the same pot, fry washed, soaked, and drained daliya cautiously while stirring.

    3. Add water and boil until the daliya absorbs all the water.

    4. Add milk and cook to your preferred consistency.

    5. Garnish with the roasted cashews and raisins and enjoy.

Storage Store in an airtight container and consume within two months from the date of packing for best results.
