Health Benefits – Methi Green or Fenugreek is a rich source of phosphorus (good for bones) protein. Iron and vit. B6. It also has good amount of fiber, lot of water and some carbohydrate.  Consuming Methi green during winters helps in bone strength, good digestion and better skin and hair health.

Use and Storage – Eat fresh green Methi leaves as the regular Aaloo Methi saag, add them to the very delectable Sarson Ka Saag or chop the leaves and add them to wheat flour to make delicious and healthy Methi ka Parantha or TheplaMethi green leaves can be dried in shade and stored for a pretty long shelf life. For reuse either soak them in water for some time and then drain off the water, methi leaves get back to fresh state OR just use them as dried leaves or powdered, added to any dish while cooking.

Shelf Life of fresh Methi green is 1 days outside refrigeration. Wrap it in damp cotton cloth and keep it in refrigerator for upto 3 days. If you find the leaves slightly wilted then keep it in water for 30 minutes. It will regain its moisture and freshness.
