How to cook ChaulaaiIt can be made in the same way as you make Paalak ka Saag or Daal Saag.

Here is a recipe for daal saag:
  1. Soak Chana or Moong Daal for 2 – 3 hours.
  2. Chop onion, 2-3 garlic cloves and 1-2 green chilli, slices of ginger (about 20 gms) and cut Chaulaai leaves.
  3. Saute onion, garlic, ginger and green chilli in a pan using Mustard Oil. [Vegans can you use one mashed tomato in a cup of water, instead of mustard oil, to prepare the base.]
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt to taste.
  5. Now add the soaked daal till it attains golden colour.
  6. Add cut chaulaai leaves to the pan, mix well and close the pan with a lid. Cook till Daal turns soft.
  7. Your highly nutritious dish is now ready to eat.
NOTE : Please make this recipe on a very low flame.
