Fresh Produce Quality & Handling Policy

At Eat Right Basket, we deal in naturally grown organic produce. Due to the agricultural nature of products, natural variation is expected.

1. Natural Variations

The following are NOT considered defects:

  • Variation in size, colour or shape
  • Seasonal texture differences
  • Minor surface marks
  • Slight moisture loss during transit
These are natural characteristics of farm produce.

2. Quality Assurance Process

We follow:
  • Batch-wise sorting and grading
  • Temperature-sensitive handling
  • Minimal processing
  • Same-day dispatch for hyperlocal orders (where applicable)

3. Customer Responsibility

Customers must:

  • Remove the fresh produce from their packing, check for condition
  • Refrigerate perishables immediately upon delivery
  • Consume within recommended timeframe
  • Maintain hygiene of their refrigerator and storage area to avoid any contamination
  • Store oils, ghee and dry groceries away from sunlight and moisture
  • Keep Pulses, flour etc in refrigerated condition for longer shelf life as organic/ natural food items are pesticide free and have a tendency to develop worms if kept in warm and humid conditions.
  • Avoid keeping metal spoon in pickles as it may cause rusting and denaturing of pickles
  • Avoid moisture around ghee and oil as it may cause denaturing of the ghee or oil
  • Seal the food items properly to avoid catching moisture

Improper storage voids refund eligibility.

4. Spoilage Claims

To qualify for replacement/refund:
  • Complaint within 24 hours
  • Clear photographs required
  • Product must not be substantially consumed
